In a separate survey by U.S. News and The Harris Poll, conducted in November 2023, 2,100 respondents were asked several questions about America’s leaders, including how well they are reacting to a range of societal challenges. In evaluating how business and political leaders are performing, for instance, around 4-in-5 respondents agreed there was a “leadership crisis” in both the U.S. government and in corporate America.
